This is what happens when a show gives you a week, a color palette, a theme, and size requirement. I'm happy with the work, but it's not my best. I am also working on my cutting style and trying to find better ways to cut to make it look better. In the past, I've never used bridges (Live from New York, Broken Window, Live from Toronto) but I had to use them with this piece because of the deadline and I am starting to like it. Maybe your thoughts can help.
The show was themed around Monopoly the game (and people all had various spaces... I got the purple ones). My work is the only stencil work, so it will be interesting to see how it all goes together.
18x24in. Yes that's tiny as hell for my work. 4 layers, 4 colors.
this doesn't have your normal high level of detail, but i like it more those way. it looks easier and smoother to look at, and it still maintance enough detail. Awesome skill that you can do this in a week
Your bridgework makes this piece seem more logan hicks style, because he throws bridges straight across big seas of color. It's gonna take some getting used to, seeing you do that, but your paintings will always be impressive.
that's just like how i imagined the street where those hotels would be. crowded, dirty looking and cheap just like those hotels in monopoly. Fantastic work. I see what you mean with the time restraint. Looks less detailed than your usual body of work. I think the theme and the message are most important here than your attention and flair for detail.

Art is an impression, Art is an infection. Some people get it, And some people don't.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
